Default Break-in oil type?

I have a new 5.7 hemi crate engine getting installed in my 2003 Ram 2500 and it was not broken in prior to shipment.

Can someone please advise the oil viscosity I should use during the 200 mile break-in period?

Thx.

Whatever is recommended for the engine under normal circumstances.

Thanks! I was thinking I needed to use a special oil blend or additive during the critical break-in Miles.

Engines dont have "break in" periods anymore. There should be paperwork accompanying the new engine? What does it recommend?

Break-in oil is from the early 60s. Probably not needed since the late 60s. Changing ahead of the schedule may not be a bad idea, but likely not a necessity.

When I had my engine rebuilt I think they recommended me changing the oil at 500 miles. He also just recommended I use regular Dino oil 5w20 same as normal engine oil
and change again at 3000 miles. The biggest recommendation was to avoid heavy load and constant RPM driving for the first 500 miles. I could not avoid heavy load for 500 miles because it was on my vacation and I had a trailer to pull home so after picking up the truck we went for a 200 mile ride to get Ice Cream. I think for new cars they run the engine on a machine before putting it in the car/truck so the break-in is partially done.
