Default 2006 Ram 2500 Hemi - Limp Mode

Hi Everyone,

I am an active member on Cumminsforum, but new here. I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Hemi, automatic that is used for a work truck. It has 100,000 miles on it. In the colder weather, the first time you drive the truck, as it is warming up, the transmission will go into a limp mode and lock into what I believe is 3rd gear (no TC lock-up). No CEL will come on and if you plug a code reader in, no codes are present. It is very strange. If I shut the truck off and turn it back on, it runs normally for the rest of the day.

It has been into a few different shops and noone is able to help or diagnose the issue. Again, on first start up it will run fine, but as the motor started to get up to temperature, it will go into limp mode. Shut it off and turn it back on and it is good to go. You can shut it off multiple times once it is up to temperature and it will run fine all day.

I am thinking some sort of trans temp sensor is getting a false reading during warm up or something like that. Can anyone here point me in the right direction?
