My 2002 Ram 1500 runs when I have it in reverse and neutral but stalls immediately when I put it in drive. My mechanic ran the diagnostic test and it said it was the overdrive saftey sensor that went into lock out mode. The tranny fluid was about a pint low. Can I fill up the tranny fluid and disconnect the battery and have it reset? Or do you have any other suggestions?
