Default HELP please

ok so sorry of this is a stupid qiestion..newbie but whats this i keep hearing about people turning their torsion bars with a torsion key or somthing? if u have any info please let me know, i want to lift my truck about and inch or so in the front.

also is it possible to level out the truck by doing this?

If you have a 1500 4x4 with a torsion bar suspension, the bars can be turned to lift the truck int he front. This does put more stress on the bars, so some folks opt to change out the keys that the bars index. (That's another debate.) Yes, you can level the turck. The ride may be a bit stiffer. And you would need to have the truck aligned once it's done.

I cranked my torsion bars on my 2004, I beleive its a 3/4 inch socket and a long handle swing bar. Its easier if you jack the front end up in th air but you don't have to. I cranked mine 4 turns each gave me 2 inches lift and no alignment required, tire wear is perfect.
