Fix the body work, then undercoat everything that is exposed. Call it a day.

Maybe your favorite brand of bed liner? Seems to me, that would be pretty durable. Either that, or something like POR 15, or Chassis saver paint...... I used the chassis saver paint on the underside of my tractors mower deck..... once that stuff dries, it is pretty much indestructible. I couldn't even sandblast it off, had to get out the grinder......

Use the reducer only if you want to spray it. I just picked up a half-dozen if the cheap foam brushes, and used those. If you want more than one coat, (recommended) put the second coat on while the first is still slightly tacky. (instructions on can as well.) I only did one coat on the mower deck, it works, and pretty well too, but, on a truck, I would go for two. Be generous with it too. Not so much so that it runs/sags though. Wear gloves. Wear clothes you don't care about. If you get this stuff on you, that's it. You are gonna have it for a while.

I like the brush idea. Thank you so much for your help. The both of you. I also thanked you in my intro thread that I just posted in the newbie area. Check it out. You might like my dodge story with proof of why Dodge pickups are a beasts.

Not necessarily square one, I listed those 3rd gen ones because they had them up. As I said, try adapting 4th gens, I don't imagine the wheelhouses are that dissimilar that it can't be made to work.
