Ram 1500, 3.55 rear end 4x4
Ive rebuilt my rear end twice. 1st time lasted 1 year, (50k miles) 2nd time (5000) miles.
want to just replace the rear end from a junk yard and not screw with the inside and do it in a weekend.
I have 4x4. Will any dodge pick up or Durango 3.55 rear end work? Or doea it HAVE to be from 3rd gen Dodge ram 1500 4x4.
Read thru a bunch of post and never really found a answer

I think dodge changed suppliers for the rear diff on the full sized trucks over the years, I don't know precisely WHEN though. Don't think the dakota/durango rears will work, as they will be narrower.
