Default A pilar grab handles

Had an issue of a wiggling drivers side A pillar grab handle so did my research; read the notes and saw all the videos. Ordered a new replacement online (around $45 so not bad) and today was the day. Popped the bolt covers off and when I put in the socket it sure seemed odd the screws came right out. Pulled the piece of trim off and yep, it was perfectly fine and that the only thing was the mounting screws had backed off. Ill just keep the new part as a spare for if/when it does break. Lesson learned, I'm passing this on to anyone who might have the same issue.

Why wouldn’t you try to tighten it up before ordering a new part? Seems obvious. And why keep the new grab? That’s like ordering a new wheel because the lug nuts were loose and then keeping it just in case they come loose again!!
