Default Headlights question

I picked up and 05 ram this July and was surprised to find the headlights suck compared to my 03 Dakota. They don't seem nearly as bright.

Anyone know of a headlight upgrade I can do to make them brighter?

I have noticed that if I hold the switch back, and have the fog lights on at the same time as the high beams, it's much better, but my high beams generally suck.

Anyone done anything about this?

Change the bulbs I think you'll find the Sylvania Silverstars more to your likeing. They are the same wattage so you don't have to worry about a new harness or anything but are much brighter.

Stay away from PIAA!! I have had 3 sets and the all crapped out!! I did not touch them during installation and I have no leakage into the headlight itself. I finally went with the knock off brand, Nokia I believe, and they have been great. I have even changed headlight housings to clear corner units without a problem. The only quirk they have is once every 3 months or so I flip on my lights and one does not turn on and I get the idiot chime. I just turn the lights off and back on again and they both fire and the warning light goes off, weird I guess. Don't waste 90 bucks on PIAA get the 34 dollar knock offs, they are even a little more blue than PIAA brand "super whites". To be fair however, I still an running PIAA super whites in my fogs and at one point one bulb was exposed to the elements for about two weeks due to a stone breaking the fog lamp. By exposed I mean it was under water when I noticed the glass was gone (not lit at the time). I guess they build that model a little better.

Nokya Stage II. Check Ebay. Silverstars are OK, but the Nokya's are even better. [sm=smiley20.gif]
