The whole thing is covered in rust. The bottom, around the plug, and the whole upper part of the pan also. Great craftsman ship here huh. I do not think this is even repairable. The block is so rusty pieces are falling off of it.

 

well its all fixed. They found a few other things while inspecting the truck, right exhaust manifold was basically falling and and the bolts broke off in the block. Also the rear pinion seal. Got it back and all is good....for now. That big repair bill hit home hard LOL

 

Rusted manifold bolts are par for the course with these trucks, but you may want to check with Dodge and see if the rear pinion seal recall covers your truck. If so, you might be able to get some money back for that.
