Default Do all 3rd Gen rams have same steering shaft?

Hi all, I’m looking at replacing my steering shaft right from the rack up to behind the wheel, but I don’t want to spend that much because I’m not sure if it will solve my problem. So today I went to two scrap yards because when I called they said they each had a 2004 Ram like mine. I don’t think they were both 2004 rams. Mine is but I think they may have been 03s, or something, but definitely 3rd Gen. Anyway when I was looking at the steering shaft on the one that was 4x4 hemi up under the dash the coupler had a piece of rubber in the center of all of it. Then when I went to the other scrap yard I found a 2 wheel drive with the 4.7 and it had the exact same coupler. Mine on the other hand is 2 wheel drive with the hemi. And it’s coupler under the dash looks like in the picture in this eBay ad. Here’s the link

anyway my question is do all the 3rd Gen rams have the same steering shaft and maybe these two both had the same aftermarket shaft installed? If not which ones would have the shaft I’m looking for, so I know where to look? Or maybe the shafts I already saw would work. Hopefully that’s clear. Thanks for any help.

i have steering wheel play. And the shaft looks similar, but not exactly the same. I just looked up the part on Mopar site and this is the part number that’s being sold now 5108175AB. When I look up a 2003 it says the part number is 55351300AD. When I look in a pdf I downloaded which is a 2004 ram part number manual it says the part number is 5535100AF. So the 2003 from the website and the 2004 from the manual which is probably old only have one digit different. So maybe it’s just a newer Model number. Just wondering if they’re compatible even though they look different?

Just found this online.

https://www.allpar.com/mopar/parts-guide.html

turns our i was right. The last letter indicates an update to the same part. I figure I’ll go pull that part from the 03 tomorrow cause it’ll probably only cost me $20 bucks to do it. And then just see how it goes.
