Default ABS and Brake dash lights coming on

I have a 2006 Ram 1500 4x4 with the 5.7. The ABS and brake dash warning lights started coming on and off a few days ago. A couple of times the speedo started going crazy also at the same time. Any ideas? Also, when I come to a four way stop and turn right or left when I take off there is like a shuddering from the rear, diff or axle can't tell. Could all this be related?

Quite likely related, The abs gets pretty offended when it doesn't know how fast you are going. Do you have 2, or 4 wheel ABS?

Not sure about the shuddering, but other issues sound like it might be the rear wheel speed sensor. My brother's 06 Ram's sensor went out, and had same issues (both brake and ABS lights on, with sometimes sporadic speedo). Fixed it for the most part, but the lights still come on sporadically once every few thousand miles. Might try that, they're pretty cheap and easy to replace.

My truck has done this twice. It usually only happens when it's raining... I'm sorry but I don't remember what the part is exactly called, but let's call it the "ABS Box". it's behind the battery. I just unplugged my battery and let the "ABS Box" dry out (It had gotten wet). I don't know if this will fix it, but when this happens to me my ABS, Brake, and Check Engine light come on. Along with my Speedo not working at all.

Check engine lite is likely due to the PCM not getting VSS signal. Where, exactly, does the 3rd gen trucks read vehicle speed? From the rear wheel speed sensor on top of the rear diff, or does it get it from the left front wheel speed sensor? Loss of VSS will turn on the ABS, and Brake lites as well.

My 3rd gen reads from rear wheel speed sensor on rear diff. (03 and 06 both do). Not sure if that's for all models. Both of ours are 2 wheel ABS if that makes a difference.
