Misfire when starting engine. Loud mashing of what sounded like steel hitting steel! Truck towed home. Pulled all spark plugs and found cylinder #1 had both plug electrodes bent. Starts ok but needless to say engine idles very ruff. So what to repair, where to start and is it worth it?

 

How many miles on it? What year truck? What kind of shape is the rest of the truck in?

If pistons met valves, that is going to make a mess. Gonna have to tear it down to see just how much damage there is. Either that, or rent a bore scope, and have a look.
