Default 06 Megacab 1500 headers

Just picked up a 2006 megacab 1500 w/ 5.7 been looking for some headers but everywhere I look they are listed excl: megacab models. Wondeirng if anyone has found a header to fit these megas does it need to be a 2500 specific header or a megacab specific header? Like to go long tubes but maybe ill have to stick with shortys since they might actually fit? Ive searched around google and the forum but all the threads ended up a dead end with no real answer as to whats available. Also along with that what tuning is needed to go with the headers can they bolt on and go? Looking to do a header ypipe combo to mate with the duals exit exhaust that's already installed, whats all necessary to remove the cats?

No tuning needed. No clue why they exclude the mega-cab.

No idea. I would think that forward of the front seats, all the trucks are pretty much exactly the same. Things change behind that area. Why that would make long tubes, and y-pipe a no-no is beyond me.

Might cruise up to the dealer, park next to a non-mega-cab truck, and crawl around under them, and see just what exactly is different.

I sent summit racing an email asking about fitment as their online chart shows yes it will fit but it does not specify megacab just ram 1500 4x4, then in the notes it mentions does not fit megacab

I’ve been researching and finding countless of forums that have never been answered. I’ve been looking for quite some time for headers and I have a part number from American racing that fits the Mickey Mouse 2006 dodge ram 1500 mega cab. RM25-02134300. I hope you guys see this

Thanks for the response, I no longer own the truck this post was made for but I have recently acquired another one that is getting some work.

Those are a nice price tag, I was looking for a replacement performance cat setup
