Trucks sits lower after being on jacks stands for a week??
So I have a 2005 Ram 1500 Daytona. My power steering rack needed to be replaced so I jacked up the front end and I placed jack stands under the front subframe. I removed the front wheels and the truck sat with the front end supported on jack stands until I was able to get the replacement rack.
After I replaced the rack and finally let the truck back down on its tires, I noticed the front end was sitting way lower than before. I think it was sitting a good 3 inches lower than normal. I raised the truck back up and turned the torsion bar bolts a full 2 turns to raise the truck. That maybe raised it an inch. I’m confused as to what happened? You think with the truck sitting up with no tension on the torsion bars screwed it up?

That shouldn't make any difference at all....... I have trucks on the rack for longer than a week, with no change in ride height.
Did the parts that the torsion key screws bump up against fall out??

ill have to check when i get home from work tonight. Is it even possible for parts for the torsion key to fall out?

It's about the only thing I think could happen just sitting on jackstands.
