Default Overdrive switch cover

I’m not sure if this topic has been covered or not. I have an 04 1500. The overdrive switch cover has been missing since before I bought it. I called the dealer to inquire about it and I was told that I would have to buy the entire shifter assy because the cover is not a separate item that can be purchased. Does anyone happen to have, or know of someone who has, one I can get?? We have 1 salvage yard on the entire Big Island of Hawai’i and they think their stuff is made of gold!!

Maybe order the whole shift lever assembly from a state-side wrecker?

Mahalo for your reply. However, I’d rather not order more than I need. I don’t want to have extra parts lying around.

Will the cover come off without destroying it though?

Yes. It’s made that way to be able to replace the switch. It’s just a ring cover that goes around the switch.

Doesn't seem that anywhere 'official' will sell just the ring, need to get the whole shift lever.... for 200 bucks....... Junkyard is going to be your best bet, try someplace like car-part.com, they should be able to hook you up.
