Default Any tricks to get a stuck 02 sensor out?

Im having the hardest time getting the bank 2 sensor 1 out of my 08 ram 4x4.. Is there a trick im missing? 22mm wrench is way to long to get on the sensor good enough to put any torque on it. I cut the wires off so I could get the box end of the wrench over the sensor but the wrench is way too long to turn it..Help!
I figure someone here has to know my pain lol

I use a pipe wrench, and a big hammer. Put the pipe wrench on the sensor, and SMACK it with the big hammer to get it to break loose. Two or three good hits is usually all it needs. Once it breaks loose, it comes out easy. Chemicals are also your friend. PB Blaster is my chem of choice. Having the exhaust good and hot makes getting it out a bit easier as well, just a bit more hazardous.

The hot wrench works REALLY well. Not everyone has one though.

Ask the nice guys at your local exhaust shop to get it out for you. It won't be that much. Unless you enjoy self torture.

Yay! I finally got it..I cut the wires off of it so i could get a deep 22mil impact socket on it. then took a short 1/2 short rachet on it..Pushed like hell and it broke loose..Pipe wrench was my next try..I ran the truck in the driveway for about 20 minutes to get things nice n hot.. worked like a charm..There was no way to get a wrench on it though..Thanks for your help folks! As my08 Ram ages I may need to be on here a lot more..She has been one hell of a reliable truck though..Still running the original battery! lol

P.S. What the heck is a hot wrench?

Depends on which hot wrench you can afford.

For future reference, get yourself an O2 sensor socket.
