Pickup won’t idle right
I have a 02 ram 1500 with the 5.9 200k miles and just recently it started to run funny. I’ll be going down the road and let off the gas and it idles between 300 and 500 rpm and it sounds like it’s about to die, I had a fuel pump put in last spring, new plugs wires and distributor and rotor were shot so I replaced them a month ago. It still will idle funny sometimes (maybe once every other day) I have no clue what else it could be and it’s beginning to get frustrating trying to drive with it acting up 😂
Disconnect the battery, remove the throttle body. (have a gasket handy, they are only like 3 bucks at the parts store.) Remove the IAC motor from the back of the throttle body, and then use brake clean, or carb cleaner to THOROUGHLY clean out the throttle body. Pay special attention to the IAC well. Just wipe off the end of the iac valve itself. Don't twist, turn, tug, or pull on it. Put it all back together, hook the battery back up, and turn the ignition to "on", not start.... don't touch anything else. Count to ten, THEN start the motor. PCM will relearn idle pretty quick.
That *should* solve the issue.

Got around to taking my throttle body off, after breaking the cable for the trans kick down I got the throttle body off and yes it needed to be cleaned really bad. I put everything back together, all but the 70 dollar trans kick down cable I now need to buy, hopefully I can get the cable tomorrow and rest the pcm and see what happens
