Default P0344 p0700 ram 4.7 545rfe

Bought a 2005 ram 1500 4x4 4.7
has the codes p0344 intermittent cam sensor signal and p0700 generic transmission fault code. The truck starts up and drives. Timing chain is loose as hell and slaps pretty bad. Will be replacing it next week. However at ~2500rpm it hits a rev limiter like wall. Then the rpms drop down and then goes into the next gear and continues to accelerate. Below 2500 rpm everything seams normal as far as running or shifting from what i can tell.

Anyone have any experience with p0344 causing a limp mode or causing p0700 transmission code. Did replacing the cam and or crank sensor fix your problem code?

Dropped the transmission pan. Bottom of the pan had a small amount of clutch material. Fluid was clean, almost looked like new fluid. Did a visual inspection of the accumulator plate thats known to come lose and pushed out. It was fine. Thinking the p0700 was caused by the cam or crank sensor, wont know for sure until the timing components are replaced. Got everything removed to have access to to front cover. Will finish the tear down tomorrow. I will get some pictures of the loose chain and the truck tomorrow.

Took the front cover off and the valve covers. Left side timing chain guide was broken in over 3 pieces. The left chain was the loose chain though. The cam sensor had a large amount of finely ground metal built up on it and was probably causing the signal issues.
