Default 4.7L Magnum coolant bleed

Hi Guys

The engine is a 4.7L Magnum, and I need to bleed my coolant.

The issue is that the radiator cap not on the radiator itself, but on top of the expansion reservoir. And this reservoir has a tube that lets out excessive fluid (see attached photo). Therefor the system will not be air-tight. What do you do in this situation? Just plug the tube with gum? Something else?

I sure would appreciate any ideas. )) Thanks fellas, and Happy New Year!

The tank that the cap is on is normally pressurized as well, so, if you need to burp the air out of the system, just pull the cap, and run the engine. Don't even worry about the overflow tube.

Just to add..... lift front end up. put defroster blower on high position with full heat... rev engine at approx 2000 rpm till heat comes out defrost. Obviously checking your coolant level. There is a bleed screw on top of upper rad hose. I never used it.

Yeah, the bleed screw. Mine has really seized up. I hit it with penetrating oil and left it for the night. Gonna see if I can budge it in the morn.
