Default Bad check engine light

My check engine light will not turn on so I cannot pass Texas inspection. As far as I can tell, there is no bulb or fuse to replace. Is there something I am missing to get the light to work again without buying a new cluster?

With the ignition off, press, and hold, the trip reset button, and turn the ignition on. That will initiate a cluster test, all the gauges will sweep, and all the lights will come on. If the CEL doesn't work still, gonna have to pull the cluster, and have a look. I *think* it's just a bulb.......

I have taken it apart and there is no bulb around it. It’s like a circuit board under where it should light up.

Going to have to find a copy of the service manual, and see how it is supposed to work......

I got c code 23 03. Could that be my issue with the CEL? How do I fix it?

Thats a chassis code but cannot find that specific code. How did you obtain that?

The bulb is not replaceable. You need a new cluster.
