Default resonator question

05 ram 5.7

i have a flowmaster 40 welded in place of the stock muffler. rest of exhaust is stock. id like to see what it sounds like without the resonator but be able to put it back easily if needed. i have one resonator near the rear axle like the one in the link except mine is welded to the flowmaster.. is the resonator itself clamped to the inlet and outlet pipe or is it one large welded assembly?

You can look under the truck easily enough to see if it is clamped or welded.....
