Default 2008 Ram 1500

Have a 2008 Ram 1500 truck that the cargo light and dash mileage indicator flash constantly when the truck is off and running. The truck will run but the dash instruments and power windows and door locks among other things will not work. Need help on solving problem! Can not find an aftermarket alarm on the vehicle either. There is an aftermarket radio in the truck.

Has it always done this? Have you checked the fuses?

So, did it do this before installing the aftermarket radio?

Most electrical problems can be traced to battery, ground, or fuse.
Is your battery good? I recommend a full check on it with a multimeter.
check your battery grounds with a multimeter.
Check all of your fuses. Best tool for this is a powerprobe or similar tool. You can check fuses without removing them with a multimeter.
Lots of good videos online with instructions on how to do these tests.
How many key fobs do you have? Try a different one if you have two. If you have just one, consider getting a new one made.
Regarding radio, did you use an aftermarket harness adapter? Did it have one of those square black plastic transmitters? If so, call the manufacturer of the harness (i.e. Metra) and explain your problem. They often have a fix you can download from their site and upload to the transmitter.
