Default HELP!!! Selector gear in instrument panel missing

Hi I got a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5.7 Hemi. Recently I change the computer because it wasn't charging the batterie. I receive a replacement computer and the selector gear in the instrument cluster went missing. Now the truck start and drive but like in third or forth gear. I have check the wires under the fuse box all of them seems to be right no corrosion there or broken cables. Also I have check the cables that connect to the computer it self and remove the shield protector to see if I would find some damage wires or corrosion there and everything was fine.

I will like to know if there something more that I can do or check?
Do I need to take my truck to the dealership and have the new computer ECM reflash? Do anybody knows how much will be in terms of money have the computer reflash?

Any kind of knowledge that could be share with me will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

The company you got the PCM from should have asked for your VIN number, and possibly other info as well, and programmed the PCM accordingly. If your trans was working fine before, and you only had a charging problem, then I would bet money that the 'new' PCM you got, is bad.
