A good paint job will cost in the thousands. You have to decide if its worth it. Some spots on my hood are down to the bare metal with all the clearcoat gone and now the paint itself flaking off. It's just not worth it to me to have it done by a shop. I'll probably sand down a little and rattle can it to get a few more years out of it.

 

Hmmmm the thing is my bed cover is completely shot too, I may sand both my roof and bed cover down, throw a few coats of the paint, and then clearcoat...
