I just got this truck from Ohio, I noticed there is a blockoff plate on the front of the passenger head where I'd expect to see an egr valve. Did the 2500 series not require those, or am I going to get emissions denied when I get this in for PA inspection? I have no CEL codes, well just ones that complain occasionally about the o2 sensors behind the cats.

 

I don't think the heavy duty trucks required EGR......

 

Guess I'll find out on Monday... Dang, I was just at the jyard on Saturday, I didn't know at the time to look at the egr port on their 2003 2500 sitting in there.

 

Passed emissions, with no issues. They also do a tailpipe test, very clean. Also passed safety, so another one legal and on the road in PA.... EGR must be not required for 3/4 ton hemi configurations.

 

03 5.7 in 1500 and all 03-08 2500/3500's no EGR.
