Without the O2's, it will never go into closed loop. It needs that information to do so. This is just a test to see if the O2's are the root cause of the problem. If it runs fine without them, then the problem is going to be related to them, if you still have issues, need to start looking at the wiring..... Yeah, that's always a lotta fun......

Brian, I know this will sound odd, but it's worth checking. I have heard that the wires that least to the front wheel bearing sensors will short out when they get older and confuse the computer and thus stall the motor. I believe the short is aggravated by the turn of the steering.

That might be my answer. My coil packs are actually original. My plugs also are long overdue to be changed. I changed the exhaust side 8 but haven't gotten around to the inside 8. I actually got a random misfire code twice but it was 20k miles ago or so and hasn't come back since I changed the outer 8 plugs. Not to mention I found a little oil on topside of one of my plugs. She still runs very good, doesn't burn oil, shifts nice so I'm trying to keep as long as I can.

Well I know I completely disregarded any input I have gotten from yall but under the advice of my mechanic father in law and boss I changed my computer. It certainly seemed it fixed my issue but after driving 140mi today my truck shutoff again. Drove another 140mi or so home with no more issues. Last i drove it Friday it was shutting off every 20-40miles so it seems to have q positive effect but who knows. Going to replace the camshaft position sensor and crankshaft sensor. Seems like something is sending a command to my computer to shutdown. Its odd because the only coded i get are for my o2 sensors which i think is from an exhaust leak.

Found my problem yesterday when I changed the top 8 spark plugs. Cylinder #8 had the boot disconnected from the lower exhaust side plug. Can't believe it would cause it and not start any misfires. I must have left unhooked a few months ago when I changed the lower 8 plugs.

Is everything still working fine? I have the same issue with my caliber; the car shuts down while driving. The codes that it throws seem to be different each time, although I have seen the crankshaft position sensor thrown twice. The commonality is that a low voltage message comes along with each shutdown. My wife even once had the dashboard shut off completely, but the car continue to drive.

I purchased the bluedriver OBD2 module and looked at the instantaneous snapshot upon shutdown. What I found was a voltage of 13.295 instead of the typical 14.1+ operating voltage. SO....voltage plummeted and fully shut down the car, sparking (I assume) the first code captured to be thrown from a sensor.

I have cleaned all grounds, replaced the batter, and have avoided replacing parts until I verified that grounds/battery supply were not the issue. They aren't. I purchased a TIPM off ebay for cheap and am making the assumption that the voltage signal is interrupted during translation at the TIPM.

Last thing: when you replaced your TIPM, did you have to do any programming/resetting? I purchased an identical part number, but from what I understand, the part number doesn't necessarily mean same car and same options.
