A/C wont stay active when key is cycled

A/C wont stay active when key is cycled
I can turn the A/C on and the light comes on and it works great. If I stop and shut the truck off and restart the A/C does not come on. The blower comes on but the light in the A/C button does not come on and it does not cool. Would not matter but I would like the A/C to start cooling when I hit the remote start.
