Default Automatic Door Lock Problem?

My doors have been locking on their own while I am warming up my truck in the morning. I have also heard them "re-locking" while I am drive every once in a while. I know it locks once you go over 15 mph or whatever it is. Anyone else have this problem?

Just this morning I was at the gas station and the doors locked on their own while my keys were in the ignition!!! I know I did not lock the doors myself.

I have a remote starter I was going to put in but I am having second thoughts if there is an issue with the door locks.

Do you have the remote opening key fob??? Is it possible that some moisture got into that and it is connecting as if you were pushing the button??

Do you have the stock or an aftermarket alarm in the truck?

The 15MPH door lock is alright but it sounds like you have either a short or a wiring conflict with the alarm.

If its the stock alarm and under warranty I would take it back to Dodge as you want them fixin this electrical glitch before you are left stranded.

As mentioned by Gone Fishin I would check the keyfob or if you have another keyfob, switch to that to see if its an external influence.

I found out what is wrong with my door locks. I got a remote starter for Christmas and when it was installed I found out that my truck had previously had a remote starter in it. I guess when it was removed the door locks weren't wired correctly.

Mine just did the same thing this week, only the good part was my wife was sitting in it so she could unlock it. She swears she didn't touch a thing and they just locked. It had just been warming up for a few minutes. I've obviously got power locks, but no other aftermarket stuff such as remote starters, etc.

I disabled the automatic lock feature to see if it happens again with that off. The thing had been acting funny before that. I'd get a random chime going down the road similar to the one you get when you reset the locks.

This happened to me as well, but I think I came up with the answer why it locked.
When you drive your truck the doors lock, when you stop and exit the truck with it running the only door that unlocks is the driver door. I figured when I got out of the truck my arm hit the door lock *** locking me out of the truck. I tried to reinact the chrime, but I couldn't make it happen again.

The Dodge system is a pretty lousy one, my Chevy locks the doors when the shifter is moved into gear and unlocks the door as soon as you put it in park. Even if you try to lock the doors with the key in the ignition in park the door won't lock.

I lied, my door lock problem is still there. I heard the locks click about 20 times on my way home yesterday. At least now that I have the remote starter I won't get locked out warming up my truck.
