Default Relationship between blower motor and ignition system

Hello,
I had a condition where the blower motor would not come on unless I ever so slightly rotated the original truck key counterclockwise. That would for a while, unless hitting a bump, too far and killing the engine. It became more and more difficult to find the "sweet" spot to keep the fan running so I replaced the key cylinder keying it for the truck key. No change - same condition as previous. I then rekeyed the cylinder for a key that came with the key cylinder replacement. Again, same program (had to fake out the security system as the key had no chip). Now back on the original truck key. I'm concluding it is not the cylinder or key. So, where do I search next? I hit the local Autoparts store and told the ignition switch has nothing to do with the blower motor. But it seems to be inline with the cylinder and likely has the now totally worn component that I could manipulate to get the fan running.

Any input is greater appreciated.

Thanks,

Not only do I have air conditioning in 100° plus temperatures but I also saved about $150 versus going to a repair shop.
