Default Another flomaster question?

I just picked up my new 05 QC hemi sport today and I've decided to go with a flowmaster 40 series muffler but am confused about which one to get. I think the one I need has a single 3" center inlet and dual 2.5" outlets. Is this correct? Thanks

Flowmaster might sound pretty good, but you will not get any performance. Magnaflow or Borla or Corsa I say.

Don't worry about performance. An exhaust will not get you any noticable difference in power. I think you need a 3" inlet because the pipes are all three inches. The dual outlet needs to run two pipes to the rear of the truck (or wherever you are letting it out). If you want only one, then you need the single outlet.

On my Hemi Sport, I couldn't get duals because of the body mouldings. I chose just to run the stock pipe from the muffler back to keep it looking factroy and not have to play with the body.

I've got the Flowmaster 50 on my '05. 3" in, dual side exit out back. You may want to think about keeping the "resonator chamber" or whatever it's called, as even with the 50 series, the cab noise can get annoying sometimes.

Also, with a CAI, with that make the in-cab annoyance even worse? I don't mind it when I'm by myself, but when I've got the family in the truck or we are on sustained high-speed road trips, it can be a bother. Will adding a CAI make it worse?

Just a muffler swap with a Magnaflow muffler seems to be pretty popular also.

From my previous experience on other cars stay away from Flowmaster. Go with Borla, Magnaflow, Corsa something
