Why don't you replace the pulley with the correct size? Also, be aware that you can add grease to "sealed" bearings (pulley bearings). Whenever I happen to take off the serpentine belt this is what I do. Helps cut down on parasitic losses and avoid outright failures.

Pulley has been replaced, actually I replaced the whole belt tensioner with a new one.

 

Hi all, wanted to let you know that I replaced the fan clutch and try to go up the mountain with the truck yesterday and truck worked fine. temperatures got slightly above the middle bar on the gauge.
Strange thing though, after replacing the fan clutch when I started the truck it sounded different, like the fan blades were working faster and you could hear it when accelerating a little bit. When it reaches second or third I don't hear the sound anymore.

But the fan clutch replacement fixes my overheating issue.
