Angry Valve Cover

So, I installed a new intake and when it came time to disconnect the crank case vent hose, it snapped the protruding tube on the crank case cover. Is it okay to drive it like this till my replacement cover comes in?

I wouldnt be. You will probably have oil splatter and dirt can be drawn into engine. Maybe a temporary fix with a glue or silicone? So that the hose can be connected ??
