Less than 20 hours may not be enough time for everyone to read it. You can probably make one fit. You can definitely find an old flat bed for a small truck that will fit as those are generic and you just need some long U-bolts and wood blocks. Will it look right with a later bed, it may be close but the body lines were changed a bit between the 2001 and 2002 models.

You waited less than a day for responses to a dumb question then got mad lol? 50/50 shot that it'll fit; it definitely won't look right and you'll have to figure out taillights, as your stock lenses won't bolt into that bed. Go buy it and find out lol. More likely you didn't get any answers because most people like to fix things correctly and would get a third gen bed.

This place isn't as busy as it used to be so, as others have said, you've gotta give it more than 24 hours to get some useful replies. I don't know the definitive answer, but I can say that in the 18'ish years since the debut of the 3rd Gen, I've NEVER seen a 2nd Gen bed transplanted (or vice-versa). I'm pretty sure the 2nd Gen dimensions are smaller all around. I'd post in the 2nd Gen forums, as well, and see if you get any bites there. Good luck.

I would think the 3rd gen bed would be wider than the second gen... you can look up the sizes of each bed and there are websites that list the dimensions of each configuration.

I don't know about a Florida bed. Look it over closely. Ocean water and salt spray eat things up worse down there than around here. The kid lives in Gulfport Ms. but they came up here to buy a truck to avoid previously submerged vehicles from Harvey and other storms. They live a miles from the Gulf coast.

You can almost buy a whole truck for that. Keep checking around. Since you looked as far as Fla, might want to try searching in my area (Atlanta). No rust and land-locked and plenty of trucks.
