Default Frequent cv replacement

I replaced my drivers aide CV for the 3rd time in 180K kms. I don't do a lot of 4 wheel driving and my truck is stock no lifts, is this normal or am I just unlucky?
I should note I noticed the boot was split and caught it before it disintegrated like last time.

That seems like REALLY bad luck to me...... Is it just the one side?? Is it eating the boots, and then the joints failing?

The first two were replaced at dealerships one at 80K the next at 140K and this week at 180K with a cardone unit from Rockauto I can only assume judging by the price the first two were OEM. It's always the drivers side, first one I noticed a clicking sound, the second one was catastrophic failure pieces all over the road, this last one the boot was split the grease was gone lot's of sand wouldn't have lasted much longer.

Sounds like something isn't aligned properly. I don't know if the front diffs. Are adjustable in the mounts. I worked on a mini van years ago that I had to shift the motor and the trans. To the passenger side because it would literally pull the CV shaft apart at the joint. I know apples to oranges, but something isn't aligned, and it's putting extra stress on the driver side shaft to cause it to go out after 40,000 miles. Check all the control arm bushings, is there anything that could cut the boot when the suspension is loaded up ie taking a corner at speed, hitting bumps.
