Hey guys,

I have been searching everywhere and i cannot seem to find and answer some hopefully you can help. I have 17 jk with a 392 swap with a getrag 238 paired to it, shortly after i completed the swap the trans started to whine i had the dealership change the fluid as it was still under warranty. I changed the fluid since then and it was already black i noticed the whine keeps getting louder and honestly from outside the jeep sounds like i have a supercharger. I changed the fluid again last week and its black again this time i put royal purple in to see if it would help but the whine is still there and very noticeable, i know these transmissions are know to be loud but it shouldnt be this loud. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the Getrac 238 in my 07 1500 with the 4.7 and it is NOT a loud tranny. not sure what your problem might be if you've been changing the fluid. This link will at least let you view the tranny service manual online but not download it without paying. I just noticed that problem set in the pub while researching my own issues.

I'm doing the clutch in my truck now and I'm having a problem getting the old "feel" and clutch engagement position back. I believe the problem is backwards clutch fork but we'll see. Sorry I know that's in-related info for your problem but I figured it'd be good for you to file away in your brain housing group for later.
