Default Exhaust questions 07 Ram 1500 w/hemi

Hey all I called an exhaust shop about a leak between mani and y pipe, He said it was a metal to metal fit. Is this correct or is there a gasket in there? Any tips you have also is appreciated .Truck is an 07 Laramie with the hemi.

He is correct, it's not a flange that would have a gasket surface, it's like a ball joint.

The squashed and jammed Y-pipe connection on my '04 Hemi OK but starting to look kinda crusty. The truck has stock manifolds and cats. Looking at where those pipes come together, they are flattened and jammed into one. I am considering to replace that Y-connection with one of those better made and higher flowing Y-pipes.
Which one should I look at and what size are the cat-pipes? I am assuming the outlet is 3", but unsure upstream if cats are 2 1/4 or 2 1/2.
Update: .... Got mine figured. 2 1/4 coming out of the cats. Stock Y-pipe is 2.5" coming out. I will be up sizing to 3" going into and out of the MagnaFlow
