Default Few questions on my ram

So after 8 years of not owning a Ram I have bought another....2002 Ram 1500 SLT long bed crew cab with 127k miles and it has the 5.9 (very happy about that)

so first question. I acquired a brand new rear bumper for free through my job...I run an automotive shop....but the bumper is from an 06. I already know I’ll have to switch brackets from old bumper but will it fit? The wrap around on the corners is a bit extreme it looks like but otherwise aside from brackets it looks the same. How much modding would I need to do to make fit...I have not tried anything yet so I can’t tell you what I’ve done so far.

Secondly the transmission (big surprise) the fluid is mint no burnt smell, nice and red I’ve put 2000 miles on truck already and fluid still mint. The issue is from 1 to 2 it shifts at 3000 rpm consistently like that’s the programmed shift point. From 2 to 3 it’s same thing but at 2500 rpm I can take foot off gas real quick and hit again and it will shift....3, OD, and TC lockup work fine. There is absolutely no slipping, no harsh shifts, just firm normal shifts. There are absolutely no codes either.

i ran it with scan tool and only saw only thing odd. The PIDs for GOV PRESS desired psi and GOV PRESS actual Psi....when the shifts occurred the desired was at 25 psi each time and the actual was around 22.3 psi. I’m looking to buy the full shift solenoid kit with the updated stuff, transducer, spring etc. from Oregon transmission. Does this issue sound like a governor issue? All solenoids will be replaced just want to assurance I’m in the right direction.

no I have no checked bands or tv cable because it still drives fine just those delayed shifts which makes me think electrical.

thanks for any input

Rear bumper from an 06 will bolt right on to your truck; same bumper. Front is a different story.
