06 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab
I have looked up on how to reset my PCM with pulling the fuse, and fasting the seatbelt, and turning the key to the on position. Let it ding twice and turn it off, put the fuse back in and the computer will be reset. The problem I am having is that I only get one ding, sat there for over 5 mins and still waiting on the second ding and nothing. Here is what happened, drove my truck to the store, started fine drove of there fine, no problems at all. Got to the store went in, was in there for maybe 10mins tops. Come out get in the truck put the key in go to start it turns over runs for maybe a second then dies, try it again and does the samething runs for a split second and dies. Truck was throwing codes p513 and p301. Don't know if is my key fob my PCM or what. Like I stated up above did that whole thing but only get one ding not two. If anyone has any clue please help me, thanks 🤘🏻

Is there any possible way to by pass the keyless entry / anti theft system like replacing the whole ignition with a new key without a chip? Just trying to find a way to fix it, limited for cash right now, and to replace what I have read on the situation I see it could be couple things.
The PCM thinks you have the wrong key. Likely it simply lost track of what key you should have, or the receiver is going bad, or a selection of other possible problems. Since you only have the one, I suspect you are going to have to take it somewhere to have the truck reprogrammed for the key. We cannot tell you how to bypass the system.
Could I use the wireless ignition module from an 04 in my 06 if I use the ignition lock from the 04 and get the key programed to my truck?

That, I don't know. I think you would end up spending less money, just taking it to the dealer, and having them have a look.....

I have tried, but will try it again. I just can't afford to have it towed to the dealership, I live in a rural area, so the closest dealership is almost an HR away. My friend has 04 he is parting out, and I was wondering if the WIM and key from that might work.
when you disconnect the battery , touch the terminals together for about half an hour , have heard this works good to clear codes,, also maybe try a different battery , have heard that it may crank but could still be a weak battery which can give weird issues sometimes,, on my own truck an 04 I had issues till I replaced with new battery , maybe have it load tested ,,
n my old Ram (2007), remove the negative cable, turn your key to the start/run position. walk away for a bit. Remove your key, reattach negative cable.
Here are instructions for the 4th generation Rams:
Found this on another site may help,,but it does sound like a key fob possible issue
1st Way:
1) With the key out of the ignition
2) Disconnect the Negative battery Cable.
3) Put the key in the ignition and turn it as if you where trying to the START it.
4) Release the key and leave it in the “ON” position and let it sit for 10- 15 min
5) Remove key from the ignition.
6) Re-attach the negative battery cable.
7) DO NOT TOUCH THE THROTTLE when starting the truck for the first TWO times!!!
8) Start truck and let idle till it reaches operating temperature.
9) Turn truck off for 5-10 seconds.
10) RE-START the truck but DO NOT TOUCH THE THROTTLE!
11) Let the truck return to normal idle (500-600 RPM’s)
12) Turn truck off, and then start her up and take her for a LIGHT test drive… NO WOT testing yet.
13) After driving around the block letting your computer LEARN the new air flow turn her off one last time…
14) Fire her up and drive her the way you want.
The second way:
1) Pull fuse #19 or #23 or #31 (be very careful here - vehicle year dependent)
2) Close door and buckle seatbelt (technically you don't have to buckle the seatbelt, but it helps to stop all unnecessary chimes)
3) Put key in ignition and turn to "on" and wait until all chimes stop (on...not start!)
4) Turn key to start and hold until you hear 2 chimes (I think it was about 15 seconds or so)
5) Turn key off
6) Re-install fuse
7) You're good to go
