I have an 04 1500 quad cab 4wd and I’m researching a cab swap since mine is rusted out. I found a cab at a really good price by it’s a rwd.

My question is will I have any problems swapping my cab with a cab that was on a rwd? I know I need to cut a hole for the stick in the floor. I’m not sure if I will have to cut anything else.

Any advice would be awesome.

 

wiring harness could be a problem, there are changes across the years and sometimes options.

 

ya I plan on swapping the wiring as it’s a cab from an 05. Just worried about clearance for the transfer case.

 

Sheet metal is all the same, if you look at the passenger front floor on both you can see the hump kick out for it (blue circle, this is a 2wd):
