Default Any information on my trucks issues.

Have a 06 dodge 2500 mega cab. It stalled on me last night. Went for a ride this morning and now has a loud tickin . The ticking speeds up when I accelerate. Idleing low/rough and stalls everytime I slow down or stop. Ticking sounds like it's coming from the oil pan are . Put my hand on the pan and can almost feel it. Any information will be greatly appreciated

How's oil pressure? Might consider dropping the pan, and pulling a couple caps, see what the bearings look like. Or, use a mechanics stethoscope, and see if you can narrow down just where the noise is coming from. With the performance issues, I would be more inclined to look at cam/lifters.

Run it to operating temp, then immediately drain the oil the moment you shut it off. Let the drained oil settle a bit then see what's at the bottom. You can also cut open the filter and see what it's collected.

I like to add a strong magnet to the filter to see what's in there. It won't catch aluminum but ferrous particles like shavings from the crank or cam shaft it will.
