Hello i am putting a 2004 5.7 non mds hemi in my 2006 5.7 that has mds and i have a few questions
i am switching over everything from the 06 motor sensors , intake ,valve covers coils ect
my 1st question is what do i do with the mds plugs in the harness that now have nothing to plug to , i was thinking of heat shrinking them and leave them under the intake
2nd question what to do about the computer do i need to have it reprogrammed or buy a tuner or will the truck run fine without doing anything ?
any advice ? i am really not sure what to do Thanks

 

I would buy a tuner capable of disabling the mds otherwise you will be stuck with an engine light.

 

If you don't want to buy a whole tuner, Diablosport offers a stand alone MDS controller that just plugs into the diagnostic port and will disable it.
