Default LOUD knockin noise when defrost turns on & no heat @ feet

Two things:
First, when I turn my truck on and turn the defrost on or switch from vents to defrost there is a noise that sounds kind of like a knock. Happens when I first crank her up and/or after she's all warmed up 🥺
Second, I get no heat blowin at my feet. Almost seems like I feel a draft down there sometimes. Blows out the vents and defrost fine.
First problem worries me a little more. Anybody else ever had this problem/sound??

Sounds like a blend door actuator gear is possibly slipping a bit. You may also have a blend door issue for the no floor heat issue as well.

On my 04 ram there are 5 blend doors, I pulled my dash and changed all of them as its a common issue ,,there are some videos on how to do this just google it ,, , its sounds harder than it is of course you will need to disconnect the ac lines is the big thing but I know how to recharge my own system and while you have it out change the heater core
