Default Whiny Power Steering Pump

I noticed that my PS pump on my 2005 SLT with Hemi began making whiny noises when I would turn wheels. The fluid level was fine and no visual leaks. All hoses are oil free. My problem is that Mopar is crazy expensive ($750 for pump alone). Just not sure which aftermarket brand to go with. Any suggestions?

What brands are available? So far, I haven't had much luck with ANY of them of late. Out of three pumps I got, two different manufacturers, two were dead right out of the box, as in, no pressure output at all, and the third one was louder than the one it was replacing...... The average store brand pumps are crap. Even some of the so-called "better" brands are still crap.

I was looking at AC DELCO out of desperation.

Those *should* be good. Gotta be better than cardone, or partsmaster, etc.

Check how much shipping is from them....... My local advance auto will price match Rock Auto for me. (but then, I have been dealing with them for more than 20 years, and used to have a shop account with 'em.....)

True. Some will match but again they bring up shipping.

Shipping is hit and miss at advance. More often than not, I don't have to pay it. Rock Auto, however, has REALLY burnt me on shipping costs...... the part was cheap, but, after shipping, it would have been cheaper to buy it here in town, even without a price match......

I can see the bait and switch with RockAuto. I always prefer the locals.

So I replaced the pump with a New Mopar PS Pump, Bracket and Reservoir. I ran almost 2 quarts through system by turning wheels (ie. while on jack stands) and having low pressure hose drain in a clear bottle. I started up truck, lowered it and once again turned wheels left and then right. After driving it for awhile, it still squeaks.

PS. I looked into reservoir and did not notice any bubbles. The level in reservoir has not dropped since its final fill.

Please any input is very much appreciated.
