Default Driver air bag sensor

The air bag light is and has been on for some time now. A dodge mechanic scanned the truck [2004 Ram Hemi] and printed out papers inregards to the scanning. The'Drivers squib circuit is open' but no one can/will tell me if I can replace/repair wiring without deploying the air bag. The drivers sensor is located behind the headlights inside the fender liner. Please help!

Yes you can. You have to disconnect the battery and discharge the capacitors first. Recommend you give your FSM a read first for the procedure: http://www.mediafire.com/file/8k5u7y...anual.pdf/file
