Can anybody tell me why when I connect my code reader to my 07 Ram 1500 and only when I first connect it, the CEL will blink for about 5 seconds and then be solid? It runs fine, I don't feel any misfires, and doesn't flash any other time it comes on when being driven? Only when I first connect my code reader, is this a normal thing? It doesnt flash any other time even when driven. I've got about 161400 miles on it and haven't owned it very long. Any help with this mystery would be much appreciated.

 

Probably just the PCM and the Scanner having a light chat.

 

That's what I think as well because other then that it runs perfectly fine. I appreciate your reply thank you.
