Back seat waterworks
Hey guys, hope all are well during this global cluster were dealing with at the moment. I have a question I need some help with..
it's been raining nonstop here for a long time now one can only hope it'll wash away the Rona' but my issue is this, I went to the store today for groceries and when I got home I noticed alot of water had leaked into the back seat from the rear window area.. this is the first I saw it and in the past I had a 2011 that did this same thing so I resealed the third brake light and problem solved, although on my 2007 I haven't checked it yet but it appears to be coming in from the upper passenger side of the rear window. Does anybody have any guidance as to whether or not there could be a faulty window adhesive, possibly some molding on the outside upper cab area causing this? Of course when it stops raining I'm going to check the obvious but I was wondering if anybody else had the same problem and discovered an altogether different cause. Thanks in advance guys. I appreciate yalls help! Yall stay safe out there.

I would check the third brake light. Maybe try taking a hose and spraying it around the back window near the seals to see if there are any leaks also. If nothing is visible then I suppose you could try to re-seal the third brake light and around the back window(s).

I had to do a few things to fix this on my 07.
Sealant around the third brake light.
Drilled miniature drain holes on the underside of the lower track.
Narrowed the tracks to more tightly hold the sliding window. You can use a screwdriver as a chisel and tap the back with a hammer to make it tighter. This was what really fixed it.
