My brother in law has an 02 ram 1500 5.9l 4x4. Just recently had engine codes show up looked them up replaced the solenoids in the trans pan. But engine codes still show up and when it shifts it wont shift til til it hits 5k rpms. Tried resetting the pcm still no luck

Did you replace governor pressure sensor and transducer? Check wiring inside pan because they are known to fail? Replace filter? Have correct amount of fluid? Did you check the 2-3 accumulator spring which has a tendency to break. Bands adjusted correctly? TV cable set right?

many things can cause issue. Check all these and report your findings

my 02 5.9 had shifting issues, and wouldn’t shift from 1 to 2 until 3 to 3500rpm, same with 2 to 3, sprayed electrical cleaner in pressure solenoid, and transducer, new fluid and filter and it’s like brand new.... when rpms go up let off gas real quick and immediately hit gas again very easily. That would always get mine to shift.
