Default 5.7 to 4.7 swap possible?

I have 2002, 1500, 4.7, 4wd, single cab, short bed farm truck. Only 85,000 well maintained engine. However the cow crap has destroyed the bed and frame. I’ve found a 2004, 1500, 5.7, 4wd, quad cab that needs an engine cheap.

My question is how difficult and cost effective will it be to swap my 2002, 4.7 into the place of the 5.7 in the 2004 body?

Difficult and not very cost effective. Cheaper to find a replacement 5.7.

I wouldn't swap a 4.7 into anything. It doesn't have a great reputation.

Lots of high mileage 4.7L's around although they're not without issues like the valve seat dropping issue it and the 5.7 Hemi's and 3.7L's have. There's quite a few 5.7L Dodge's around my area with grenaded engines for sale that I've noticed. Love the Hemi regardless though.

As for a 4.7L swap into a 5.7 vehicle, from what I've read its not too difficult just the reverse of a 5.7 into a 4.7 vehicle which seems to have be done quite a few times. If you have the good 4.7L already it makes sense.
