How bad is 'terrible'? It IS a truck, after all...... With mine, I am happy if I make it into double digits.....

Exactly. If you're getting single digits with your truck, that means something is up. Otherwise getting 10-18 MPG is what you really should expect.

After a long trip I recalculated my mpg. I'm now getting 16.8 on the highway after the o2 sensors were changed. Seems like the truck needed a bit more run time after changing them before getting a noticable difference.

Thanks everyone for the input and helping me get this truck back to good health

Edit: may 9 2021
on easy highway with minimal passing, and minimal hills, I got 20.8 mpg. Cruising at 100km/h

Now that sounds like the proper gas mileage .
