I am looking for advice on how to run 0/2 awg copper cables from the battery to a 1500w inverter under the driver’s seat on a 2006 RAM 1500 V6 3.7L (manual transmission). I will be using a 200amp manual breaker on the positive cable, per the inverter manufacturer’s recommendations. There is a grommet under the driver side dash (pic 1 and pic2 where the brake controller wires run now) that I could use and then route the cables via the console between the seats and then back behind the driver seat. I am a little concerned with having two wire this size around the gas and brake peddles. Another option was to run the cables under the undercarriage and come back up behind the driver’s seat. There is what looks like a plastic grommet (let me know if that is what pic 3 and 4 is) on the undercarriage or I could drill some new holes. Any advice on the safest and easiest way to route these cables, would be appreciated.
Thanks! Option 1 using the grommet where the white and red brake controller wires are feed through now. View of the break controller grommet from the engine side. Driver side door, option 2 grommet is on the undercarriage about mid way on the seat. Undercarriage grommet(?) under driver’s seat for option 2.
